Что (кто) такое duct of Arantius - определение

Arantius' duct; Arantius' ducts; Patent ductus venosus

Ductus venosus
In the fetus, the ductus venosus (Arantius' duct after Julius Caesar Aranzi) shunts a portion of umbilical vein blood flow directly to the inferior vena cava. Thus, it allows oxygenated blood from the placenta to bypass the liver.
Parotid duct
DUCT THAT SALIVA TAKES FROM THE PAROTID GLAND INTO THE MOUTH
Stensen's duct; Stenson's Duct; Stenson's duct; Ductus parotideus; Stenson duct; Parotid papilla; Stensen duct; Parotid ducts; Stensen's ducts; Stensens ducts; Stensens duct; Stensen ducts; Parotid papillae
The parotid duct, or Stensen duct, is a salivary duct. It is the route that saliva takes from the major salivary gland, the parotid gland, into the mouth.
Paramesonephric duct
PAIRED DUCTS IN THE EMBRYO IN THE PRIMITIVE UROGENITAL STRUCTURES
Mullerian ducts; Müllerian ducts; Mullerian duct; Paramesonephric ducts; Duct of Müller; Paramesonephric; Paramesonephros; Duct of Muller; Muellerian ducts; Muellerian duct; Duct of Mueller; Müllerian abnormalities; Müllerian duct; Müllerian duct structures; Müllerian system; Ductus paramesonephricus; Mullerian system; Paramesonephricus
Paramesonephric ducts (or Müllerian ducts) are paired ducts of the embryo that run down the lateral sides of the urogenital ridge and terminate at the sinus tubercle in the primitive urogenital sinus. In the female, they will develop to form the fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, and the upper one-third of the vagina.

Compared to the 50% shunting of umbilical blood through the ductus venosus found in animal experiments, the degree of shunting in the human fetus under physiological conditions is considerably less, 30% at 20 weeks, which decreases to 18% at 32 weeks, suggesting a higher priority of the fetal liver than previously realized. In conjunction with the other fetal shunts, the foramen ovale and ductus arteriosus, it plays a critical role in preferentially shunting oxygenated blood to the fetal brain. It is a part of fetal circulation.
